Gstreamer Segment Event Problem

Hi,

When I executed the above program test-segment-seeks.c and also when I used
the part of this program ( seek logic)  , I am getting the following error .

Duration: 0:00:09.017417888
Segment: 0:00:00.000000000-0:00:01.000000000
**
ERROR:test-segment-seeks.c:86:main: assertion failed: (ret)
Aborted


The gst_element_seek() function is failing.
But I am not able to figure out why?
