List audio capture devices

Hi!

I want to be able to choose among my directsound capture devices on my
windows machine.
I found out there was a probe mechanism in gstreamer-0.10, that was
replaced with the device-monitor in 1.0.
However my device-monitor does not detect any device.
Also tested it on my raspberrys the gst-device-monitor does not detect any
device (no srces or sinks).

Is there any other possibility to enumerate my capture devices using
Gstreamer?
