How to know the Buffer size used for DLNA streaming?

Hi there,
          I need to know where I found buffer information in gstreamer used
for DLNa streaming.The state of pipeline changed from pause to play whenever
buffer filling completes.
 Does this buffer size varies w.r.t platform or it is fixed for any
platform.
 What are the factors effecting buffer filling for streaming?
