Hi Sebastian,

Unfortunately I am not the one to do a port to xvid....

However - using other things that were not available way back when I
started... like vp8.
I tried this command for vp8.

./test-launch "( v4l2src device=/dev/video0 ! queue !
video/x-raw-yuv,width=640,height=480,framerate=(fraction)30/1 \
        ! videoconvert ! vp8enc ! queue ! rtpvp8vpay pt=96 name=pay0
pulsesrc ! audioresample ! audioconvert \
        ! vorbisenc ! rtpvorbispay pt=0 name=pay1 )

And it does not seem to work.

What would be the correct command to take the v4l2src and encode to vp8
with pulse audio.
