hlssink and vp8

Jerry,

HLS is designed to work with a transport stream container and h.264 encoded video. Even if you could generate the correct pipeline you would not have broad playback support because hls players are looking for h.264 video. In my experience, iOS is very particular about what it will playback.

Does the hlssink work with a vp8 file?

I have tried a couple pipe lines to try to take a vp8 file pipe that to the hlssink.

I have not been successful. Is this possible?
What would that pipeline look like.
