Gstreamer Appsrc Buffer

Hi, what I am working on is to stream webcam from Raspberry Pi to Mac.

I will be using openCV on mac end to retrieve Gstreamer video as frame and
do some processing.

I am wondering that if openCV does not grab in time, where the remaining
video will be stored? Or it will 

just be discarded? If it is stored, how much memory space or disk space does
it cost to store a 1280x720
 
30hz video from webcam?
