gst-ffmpeg on ARM Linux: GNU assembler not found, install/update gas-preprocessor

Thanks for your message.

I am building on the Raspberry Pi. Binutils is installed, and I have used
the toolchain to compile other packages already (in fact, all of GStreamer
but gst-ffmpeg builds successfully).

Any ideas?
