Encode YUV420 buffer with appsrc

Sorry about delay in my response. I have not been able to try your idea and
dump the image.  I will do so and get back soon.

Yes , our image is exactly in same format as described by you. Y plane
followed by padding on each line , followed by U plane (with padding on each
line) and V plane.
