Hi, timestamps are a feature of the muxer and not the encoder so they shouldn’t be affected. I would suggest you just try it out. I don’t have any files with NAL alignment so I can’t help you

Is it okay to have nal alignemnt input for decoder?
If yes what all things do we need to consider ? ( eg: time stamp)

Thanks and Regards

Hi,
I use stream-format=byte-stream,alignment=au for streaming and
stream-format=avc, alignment=au for recording. The recordings work with vlc, MediaPlayer etc.
streaming works with vlc as client.

Hi,

I have sevral doubts regarding byte stream format and nal alignment.
Does one h264 decoder can accept nal alignemnt?
I have my own h264 decoder plugin.
Should I give only au alignment for its sink cap or giving both au and nal alignemnt caps is fine?

Thanks and Regards
Anju Sebastian.
