ID3 timed metadata in HLS

I want to put some tag inside the file to be able to identify it. For example
if your colleague writes a faulty script that deletes few TB of data and you
have to recover that (happens to me). So far I have found this:

If someone knows a simpler way that will be playable on all devices please
