Unable to play the video with gst-launch1.0 by command line.

I don't know what above lines means.

>> gst-launch-1.0 playbin uri=file:///path/to/foo.mkv 

The above pipeline is correct and don't see any problem.

May be desktop installation is missing in your machine so not able to
display the decoded video.
Enable debug logs it may hint you some thing.
gst-launch-1.0 playbin uri=file:///path/to/foo.mkv  --gst-debug=2 .
