Audio / Video comparison tool

As a media developer, I need to perform sanity checks on the audio/video
rendering pipelines that I have built.

So I want to compare the MP4 or HLS output from two different rendering
pipelines.  I want to get statistics which describe the mutual similarity
(or dissimilarity) between two audio/video signals.  The more statistics,
the better.

Is there a gstreamer plugin that can be used to perform such a statistical
comparison?

If not ... Does anybody know of other tools that I can use to make the
comparison?
