What do I need in my app to get latency tracing to work

Hello,

what function do I need in my GStreamer C application code to support
latency tracing with:

  GST_DEBUG="GST_TRACER:7" GST_TRACERS=latency

It works fine if I use "gst-launch-1.0" but there is no output with my
GStreamer application.
