Custom Metadata introspection

Is there a simple approach to gir generation when extending GstMeta? With the
aim of accessing fields via python? The libraries are not built via
gst-build, they are (for now) built in cmake projects. I suspect
g-ir-scanner is the way forward but I’ve had no luck so far.
