setting format for rawvideoparse

looking at the source i see

  g_object_class_install_property (object_class,
      PROP_FORMAT,
      g_param_spec_enum ("format",
          "Format",
          "Format of frames in raw stream",
          GST_TYPE_VIDEO_FORMAT,
          DEFAULT_FORMAT, G_PARAM_READWRITE | G_PARAM_STATIC_STRINGS)
      );

but cant find what  GST_TYPE_VIDEO_FORMAT  is
plugging formats[1] doesnt work
im missing something trivial
