GStreamer package folder structure

Hi All,

I would like to understand folder structuring  & naming convention followed
in each gstreamer packages like core/base/good. Is there any documentation
exist related to this ? If yes, please share

As per my understanding, gst-plugins-good package contains folders like
below:
ext : contains plugins with external dependency
gst-libs : contains base libraries to installed in /usr/lib/ or
/usr/local/lib
gst : contains plugins which does not have any dependency 
sys : contains plugins those dependent on hardware

Is my understanding correct ? if not please guide me
