UWP version is to be used for making APPS for Universal Windows Platform
based devices e.g. certain Windows Phones/XBOX/Hololens etc etc. You can
also make Win 10 APPS with UWP libs which run in a "sandbox" on your PC.

Loosely speaking, think of UWP as a platform in between PC and a true
embedded device.
