realtime opus with dtx

Hi devs,

I am trying to build a pipeline that is a transcoding voice proxy, such
that a voice trunk uses opus codec with DTX to gain some bandwidth savings.

I can see some old and new gitlab entries on this:

My testing sees the same outcome as the 3 year old issue #324. My question
is whether the patches submitted by Nubosch will make it into the releases
eventually. I am keen to use these patches and get a proof-of-concept
working in the near term.

Any advice for me?
