How do I use glsrcbin

I want to push a texture into a pipeline. glsrcbin says it is part of an
Infrastructure to process GL textures'. So far so good!

However, the docs don't mention how the "src" property is meant to be used.
I do not know how to interpret the description given: "The GL src chain to
use". Is there any way I can just give this a texture ID or framebuffer I
have my texture bound to?
