gstreamer + vivid

Hello,
I am trying to push frames from my disk into virtual video device (vivid)
using gstreamer on ubuntu.
for some reason it does not seems to work.
details below.

a. could anyone point me to the vivid official documentation for ubuntu
   so far, i have found the link below that also contains the link to vivid
source code.
