Hi,
Just a quick note to let you know that the talk submission deadline for
the GStreamer Conference 2019 for second-round proposals is the 30th of
September and proposals can still be submitted.
Everyone who has submitted proposals so far will be notified shortly,
and the first batch of talks and speakers will be published shortly as
well.
We still have a few slots left though, so please submit your
talkproposals/ideas now! All it takes is a title and a short abstract.
Lightning talks can be submitted until the day of the conference,
butwill be processed on a first-come-first-serve basis, so make sure
toreserve your slot as early as possible.
The conference will take place on 31 October - 1 November 2019 in Lyon,
France, and there will also be a hackfest on 2-3 November.
The GStreamer Conference is a conference for developers, community
members, decision-makers, industry partners, researchers, students and
anyone else interested in the GStreamer multimedia framework or Open
Source and cross-platform multimedia.
Details can be found on the conference website at
https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/conference/
=== Submission format ===
The initial submission needs to be only a couple of
paragraphsdescribing the talk you want to give and the desired length
of yourtalk (please allow for at least 5 minutes of questions at the
end aswell).
Talks can be on almost anything multimedia related, ranging from
talksabout applications to challenges in the lower levels in the stack
orhardware.
Please send all proposals to gstreamer-conference at lists.freedesktop.org
=== Showcase or Lightning Talks ===
This year there will again be an opportunity for short showcase
orlightning talks.
If you don't think you have enough material for a full-length talk,
butperhaps just want to showcase something you're working on, or
present aproblem or challenge you are facing or have solved and that
you thinkmight be interesting for others to hear about, why not submit
a ca. 5minute mini-talk for our lightning talk/showcase event?
Please send a short e-mail to the gstreamer-conference list to
reserveyour slot.
There is no deadline for lightning talks submissions, but lightningtalk
slots will be given out on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Cheers -Tim
