Hal-cvs Compile Stalls

I knew there have been some new patches to hal-cvs since the last time I 
compiled hal. So I decided this morning to recompile. Starting with a 
clean cvs. The compile gets as far as the following and then stalls out:

It just sits there and goes no farther. I tried using USE="-doc" emerge 
hal-cvs but that made no difference.
