How to use fstab-sync?

We actually put it in at device add/remove time for drives we know are
likely to use media, e.g. floppy and optical drives. This is quite
intentional as this is traditional use of /etc/fstab and much existing
software depends on it (such as GNOME VFS without the hal patches).
