hal-cvs-3.0 fails to compile

These are the only things that I found by being able to watch it try to 
emerge:

First:

You should add the contents of `/usr/share/aclocal/libtool.m4' to 
`aclocal.m4'

Then farther on down are these warnings:

hald_marshal.c:58: warning: no previous declaration for

hald_marshal.c:99: warning: no previous declaration for 
'hald_marshal_VOID__OBJECT_BOOLEAN'
hald_marshal.c:136: warning: no previous declaration for 
'hald_marshal_VOID__OBJECT_STRING_BOOLEAN_BOOLEAN'
hald_marshal.c:177: warning: no previous declaration for 
'hald_marshal_VOID__OBJECT_STRING'
source='device.c' object='device.o' libtool=no \

Then it ends with:

hald_conf.c: In function `hald_read_conf_file':
hald_conf.c:218: error: label at end of compound statement
make[3]: *** [hald_conf.o] Error 1
