Why? What's wrong with the fallback options that we have now? That gives
us the legacy support of acpid and the newest non-acpid support. 

I've removed acpid now, as I have no use for it so I use the proc option
- most people will use the socket option.

I thought DavidZ comment:

/* TODO: make /var/run/acpid.socket a configure option */

meant to make the location a -- configure'able option, rather than a
argument type option.
