HAL doesn't detect my devices

Hello all.

I'm new with HAL. I read a lot of documents about HAL and try to configure it
in several ways, but it never works.

I have Debian unstable:

kernel 2.6.12
udev 0.065-1
hotplug 0.0.20040329-25
pmount 0.8-2
hal 0.4.8-6

When I plug in my pendrive I get in /var/log/messages:

... kernel: usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 6
... kernel: scsi4 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
... usb.agent[6309]: usb-storage: already loaded
... kernel: Vendor: Generic Model: Flash Disk Rev: 7.77
... kernel: Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision:
02
... kernel: SCSI device sdb: 512000 512-byte hdwr sectors (262 MB)
... kernel: sdb: Write Protect is off
... kernel: SCSI device sdb: 512000 512-byte hdwr sectors (262 MB)
... kernel: sdb: Write Protect is off
... kernel: sdb: sdb1
... kernel: Attached scsi removable disk sdb at scsi4, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
... scsi.agent[6351]: sd_mod: loaded successfully (for disk)

But neither hal-device-manager nor lshal show my pendrive. Here is the output
of lshal:

lshal version 0.4.8

I can mount my pendrive manually, and works fine.

I have the same problem with the CD.

Anyone could help me, please?

Thanks a lot.
