On a side issue, how current is the fedora-development HAL rpm compared to 
CVS HEAD?

I'm a little concerned about doing a "make install" on my FC3 system... 
It's my main laptop that I do all my stuff on.

Can I rpm build the CVS directory with the appropriate .spec file?

No worries, I'll compile hal-spec.xml.in and see what the parser says :-)

I'll sent it tonight when the SystemButtonPressed thing is sorted in my head.
