HAL 0.5.4 and KDE 3.4.3 problem with DVD's

I haven't looked at your problem in depth, but your software association is 
rather suspect. HAL 0.5.x doesn't work with KDE 3.4.x (but works with 3.5.x), 
and it seems to me that ivman is redundant with HAL capabilities in KDE and 
pmount, at least for DVD matters.
