hi. i am trying to setup decent automounting support using hal and udev
and hotplug combo.
my problem is that no information about real device name (i mean its
file in /dev) comes from udev or hotplug to hal for certain devices.
For example when i input the usb stick udev detects its device node sda
and sda1 for example.
but it is not transfered to haldaemon.because when i do simply
lshal|grep sda i get only a /sys entry in best case . but no real device
name for it.
i am using hal 0.5.4
do i need /usr/libexec/hal.udev or something to be aable to gather
additional device information from udev daemon?
and also why does udev not creating /dev/sda1 and /dev/sda when it
detects them and writes in logs about them?
thx for help.
Roman
