No, it did IIRC never used sys.

It make IMO no sense to try it ... see comments from my last mail. Btw. there 
are also machines which e.g. report such level values:

levels: 8 40 10 20 40 60 0 0 80 0

This full depends on the bios. You can't generalise this.
