Hm ... maybe, but I need to think about the workflow, because you need the 
identify the machine via smbios/dmidecode (vendor, product and in several 
cases also the bios version) and can first the involve the related functions 
in acpi.c because the smbios/dmidecode code is a callout/prober and me have 
maybe not the needed info if acpi devices are added.
