processor namespace

Hi;

While trying to familiar with hal code i realize processor namespace [1] gaves 
not so much information. 

So is there any specific reason not to 
export "/sys/devices/system/cpu/*/cpufreq/" into hal (like cpuinfo_cur_freq, 
scaling_available_frequencies and scaling_available_governors are good 
candicates) ? Or i am missing something
