In the shiny future where we have flying cars and food pills, ACPI 
button drivers will register an input layer device. This will result in 
a /dev/input/whatever, which can then be listened on by HAL. The input 
layer provides functionality for drivers to list which buttons they 
support - try running evtest against your existing nodes and see what 
you get back.
