Well rereading the link and following thread, it seems it was not the
same than the one I read in the first place. So my laptop is a Fujitsu
Stylistic 4110 and the panel control is done through the generic ACPI
driver of the kernel.

I just applied the patch I found on the ML and it works fine so I'm very
happy with this :), but then, if you need more information or tests for
the generic ACPI support in hal, please feel free to mail me.
