Locking or not locking (CD drives)?

Imho it should not lock the drive.
After all, that's why there's an eject button on it... to eject the 
disc. If the user presses the eject button, he presses it because he 
want the disc ejected, nothing else.
(And the user does not and does not want to care about whether the 
drive supports/sends the ejectpressed signal.)
