Problem while automounting the usb devices through hal daemon

Hi all,
   I am using montavista linux 2.6.10 for my arm board.The kernel
doesn't contain the hal daemon and also dbus utilities so i cross
compiled the hal-0.4.7 and dbus-0.22 and installed it.when I plugged
the usb stick the following messages are coming .

In the above messages an error message is coming telling that
19:04:53.738 [W] linux/common.c:861: Error opening sysfs directory at
/sys/bus/pci/drivers.
In our arm board we are not using any pcibus and our usb
hostcontroller is not connected to any pci bus.we are trying to
automount the usbmassstorage devices or any other usb related devices.

Please can anybody help me on this.
