Good. Maybe we can even auto-convert it somehow (i am getting several
reports about new machines every week) to keep the lists in sync.

Reasonable.
But i would not do it in 20video via HAL but either with s2ram or in a 
99zzvideo, so it is the first thing that runs during resume. But this
is an implementation detail and nothing to worry about now :-)
