hal 0.5.8 "The Skynet Funding Bill is passed." released

Hi,

I've committed this patch

on both HEAD and hal-0_5_8-branch. 

IMO, it's much better to depend on kernel headers than glibc headers and
if a distributions happen to be too lazy to package these up properly
(or simply forgets), surely this will help them fix that bug.

Is this OK with everyone? If yes, anything else we'll need for 0.5.8.1?
