USB Thumbdrive Performance with HAL

Hello Artem,

The other system runs a hacked up version of Red Hat 9.0 with a 2.6.1x kernel.
 For mounting with use hotplugging and udev rules.

It is USB 2.0.

I got another reply that has helped and will post my response to that.
