thinkpad_acpi on X60s, events

Hello,
last week I updated kernel on my KDE/Gnome-less Lenovo X60s notebook. Old
ACPI-event hotkey handling was deprecated in latest thinkpad_acpi patch. Now
event interface is default. I found .fdi quirk to remap keys on X60s using
HAL, but my HAL (0.5.10 from git) doesn't recognize /sys/class/input/input3
device made by thinkpad_acpi patch (I can't see "Thinkpad Extra Buttons" or
something connected with input3 device in `lshal' output). Any ideas ?
When I use setkeycodes 0x02 KEY_SOMETHING (tested with KEY_RESERVED to revert
back to original ACPI events) or xev I can see events from
fn+f2,fn+f3,fn+home/end (brightness handling is buggy) and "ThinkVantage"
button. Mask is set to 0x00ffffff.

I'm new in HAL. From its name I realized that it's only device-information-list
provider. So when I don't want to use Gnome/KDE-dependent things like
gnome-power-manager etc. what daemon to catch'n'handle keys may I use to get
same result in console and X11.

Thank you.
PS:
I'm sorry, my english is worse.
