Your posting caught my hopeful eye, Doug. I have reached the point
where I must do whatever it takes to get my System76 Linux Ubuntu 7.0.4
communicating with the following hardware:
1. Alesis Quadra Synth Plus Piano keyboard (controller)
2. Proteus/2 Orchestra (16 bit Multi-Timbral Digial Sound Module)
3. Fostex Model 2016 Line Mixer (which sends the sound out to
speakers)
I had just about reached the conclusion that I would have to figure out,
if possible, how to burn a new kernel for the System 76 but it's been 25
years since I've done that and this is not a well-documented Sun system.
Can a patch do the job for me too? Music fun is my only huge hobby
during these retirement years (I'm nearly 70).
Sincerely,
Mary Crockett
