Hi,

attached is the patch for the BenQ R22e laptop. I am running Debian
unstable with

$ dpkg -l hal
[...]
||/ Name           Version        Beschreibung
+++-==============-==============-============================================
ii hal 0.5.9.1-2 Hardware Abstraction Layer

Having libvolume-id0 < 0.77, I was not able to compile hal 0.5.10. After
restarting hal

$ sudo /etc/init.d/hal restart

I did not get any output with

$ lshal | grep keymap

Is that due to not having installed 0.5.10 or am I doing something
wrong?

Comments for the patch.

1. make check verifies the fdi file
2. It creates an extra fdi file 30-keymap-benq.fdi .
3. I added those keys, which were neither shown in dmesg nor in xev, as
comments.

a) Switch the display/screen.
b) Switch on/off beep for low battery.
c) Switch display on/off.
d) Suspend/Hibernate button. Gnome-power-manager is registering this and
the laptop does go into suspend/hibernate. But neither the touchpad nor
the keyboard is working after coming back up. But this may be related to
the encrypted /tmp partition.
