Shouldn't be much longer before the first RC (I thought it was very
useful to have RC's in the 0.5.9 series); basically the most important
items

Must-have major features

 - singleton addons
   - have patch from Rob Taylor; will review and probably merge

 - method call return values
   - default to UINT32 (revert my patch + fix up addons)
   - ability to return other types

 - PolicyKit integration
   - hal side of things mostly done
   - need PK release (this is my main focus the next few weeks)

 - release engineering work
   - basically get some shared file space so anyone in the 'hal' commit
group can make releases of hal-info; I've written some cheesy
release Makefile target already that could need some love /
     review / docs

 - key remapping

 - support for SATA AN to avoid polling
   - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=halpolling#c18
   - I have the hardware; just need to teach HAL how to use this if
the kernel says the drive can do it

Maybe-have major features

 - Support for Linux LVM
   - already have support for Linux Software RAID

 - Don't use setfacl(1); use system calls directly

I think we could have these features done within 2-3 weeks so RC1 could
be late June / early July with a release in late July / early August. If
you have features you want in / comments about the schedule now is
probably a good time to chime in. Thanks.

      David
