hal does not detect laptop information with kernel 2.6.21

Thanks. Updating to hal 0.5.9 solved the problem. I do not know
whether changing CONFIG_ACPI_SLEEP_PROC_SLEEP to yes made a
difference, as I have not had the time to see if changing it back to
"no" breaks this again.
