Hi, Mike's patch at http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/hal/2007-June/008830.html works fine with both compressed and uncompressed pci.ids. It's a much nicer approach than the unzip-in-memory patch I posted earlier. Do the concerns about increased footprint for embedded users matter here, or can this be applied? Thanks, Daniel
