Yes, and, keep in mind, that "we" don't need even to be software in HAL;
for example libipoddevice already runs during a HAL callout (see: rpm
-ql libipoddevice) - there's no reason it shouldn't update the icon.name
property with the correct icon that would reflect what color your iPod
is. With the flexible architecture we have today along with well-defined
properties we can do do this in a nice way.
