Sure, there's library API docs (viewable in GNOME's devhelp), man pages
and a specification (HTML) in the doc/ directory. You want to look at
the latest stuff from git as a lot of effort recently went into updating
the docs. Just check out the source code and configure the sources such
that the docs are built.
