i tried to create a patch by following the directions at
http://people.freedesktop.org/~hughsient/quirk/quirk-suspend-report.html
but you lost me at...
Then we can copy the xml from the locally installed fdi (in /usr/share) to
this local checked out version. Editing the file in the same way here allows
us to generate a patch file that we can sent to the mailing list.
and my ./autogen.sh craps out.... so im not sure what im doing wrong
i own a lenovo x61 and i've gotten the sleep/resume to work by adding this
to 20-video-quirk-pm-lenovo.fdi:
<!-- X61 -->
<match key="system.hardware.product" prefix="7675">
<merge key="power_management.quirk.s3_bios" type="bool">true</merge>
<merge key="power_management.quirk.s3_mode" type="bool">true</merge>
</match>
i'm sorry i couldn't figure out how to make a patch, but here is the xml
hopefully someone will know what to do with it. (also i've attached the fdi
file if this will help)
also i've comfired this system.hardware.product prefix with one other x61
user and it matches
if i can be of any more help, please dont hesitate to reply
