Agree. We only added the proc based brightness stuff because the
backlight didn't exist then. Now the backlight class exists we can
deprecate the proc based reading in HAL and just use sysfs. I think it
will be a little time before all the drivers are converted, however.

So basically, acer module needs to use the kernel class. Then it will
just work in HAL, and therefor g-p-m.
