hi,

i'm running ubuntu intrepid which recently switched to hal-input for
everything in X, obviously that doesnt include any evtouch driven
devices like touchscreens yet (no, not all touchscreens are wacom :) )
i would like to be able to
a) use my own touchscreen again and
b) make other evtouch devices work as well for ubuntu 8.10 (and since we
release nearly on the same day FC10 indeed :) )

just adding a local fdi file /etc/hal/fdi/policy/ that forces evtouch
for my device seems not to work, so my question is if anyone on this
list has every played with evotouch in hal yet (its also not clear to me
yet how to apply the calibration parameters that are necessary).

i'll happily start a call on the ubuntu lists to collect as many lshal
outputs for evtouch devcies as i can get my hands on to improve the
overall support here and build the necessary fdi files, but would fist
like to see it working at all...

ciao
